ACTIVITIES



President of ELFAC denounced the penalization of large families in Europe at a demographic conference in the European Parliament

The conference was organised on 12 November by Marlena Malag, Member of the European Parliament and former Minister for Family Affairs in the Polish Government.

ELFAC general assembly was held online due to the general strike in Belgium

The organisation currently has 30 member associations from 25 European countries. The assembly was scheduled to be held in person in Brussels on the same day, but the general strike called by the main Belgian trade unions for that day included all transport.
 
ELFAC participated in the seventh edition of the Executive Network for Family Values
The Network, launched by the Hungarian Mária Kopp Institute for Demography and Families (KINCS) in 2019, continues to bring together international experts, researchers, and policymakers to exchange best practices family-oriented.

Study on “The Economic and Social Impact of Addictions among Minors” presented in Romania with ASFANU

Romanian Large Families Association (ASFANU), together with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) and the “Eu Te Iubesc” Association by Laura Cosoi, launched a partnership to analyze the phenomenon of addictions among children.
 
Germany: Home Exchange Evening – Living the European Spirit!
At our recent online meeting, hosted by the Zoom-team of the Association of Large Families Germany, everything revolved around home exchange – a wonderful way for (especially large) families to travel affordably while experiencing genuine cultural encounters.

Lithuanian Large Families Association Hosts National Discussion


Towards Cohesive and Consistent Support for Lithuania’s Large Families: The Pabradė Large Families Association “Šeimyna” Participated in the National Discussion on Strengthening Large Families in Lithuania On 21 November 2025.
 
A new income tax law in Greece alleviates the burden for families with children with special emphasis on large families
The new income tax law exempts large families with four or more children and an annual income of between €0 and €20,000 per parent from paying this tax.
